The project involves the complete web development of a Report and Task Tracking Portal (Office Project Management System – OPMS) designed to streamline internal project management, task tracking, employee coordination, and reporting within an organization. The portal will be developed as a secure, web-based application that centralizes project workflows, enhances accountability, and provides real-time visibility into project progress and employee performance. Inspired by Jira but customized for internal office operations, the system will feature simplified workflows and full administrative control over data. The platform will include modules for authentication, employee management, project management, task management, EOD (End of Day) reporting, activity logs, messaging, and group communication. Administrators will be able to create and manage users, assign roles, monitor projects, and generate reports. Project Managers will create and assign tasks, monitor progress, manage deadlines, and review EOD updates. Employees will update task statuses, submit daily reports, add comments, and track their workload. A Kanban-style task board will allow drag-and-drop task movement across stages such as To Do, In Progress, Review, and Done. The system will also include dashboards with graphical reports, project summaries, workload analysis, and date-based filtering for performance tracking. Built using a modern web technology stack (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, PHP/Laravel, and MySQL), the portal will ensure secure role-based access control, password encryption, data validation, and structured database architecture. The overall objective of this project is to deliver a robust, scalable, and efficient web-based report and task management solution that improves collaboration, enhances productivity, and ensures transparent project monitoring within the organization.
